Sliding Pillar
The Sliding Pillar Rally began in England some years ago and has since grown to become the largest vintage Lancia event in Europe. The rally is held yearly, alternating between England and somewhere typically in northern Europe, such as northern France or Belgium.
The English rally is organized by Ade Rudler, and the European rally by the van Hooricks. Its open to all Lancias with sliding pillar suspensions, from Lambdas up through Appias, although Flaminias, Flavias and Fulvias also make appearances.
The rally is typically fully booked, constrained by the number of rooms available. There are large dinners, nice motoring during the day with visits to places of culture. It is the one place where the many different Lancia groups in Europe (Dutch, Belgian, German, Scandinavian, French, Swiss, Italian, and English) come together.
